Cambridge Canine is a blog for canine companions in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and the neighboring towns.
A Cambridge resident since 1993 and a canine companion since 1998, I live very near Fresh Pond Reservoir, a mecca for local dog walkers. When my family’s beloved cockapoo (Teddy) died in early 2011, I felt the loss most acutely walking solo around the Fresh Pond. Teddy’s successor, a cockapoo puppy named Eddie (not very original, I know!), joined our family in June 2011, and he and I are regulars at the Pond, often with Eddie’s sister, Riley, who also lives in the Huron Village neighborhood.
I hope Cambridge Canine will inform, connect and amuse fellow dog lovers in Cambridge and beyond. I welcome readers’ comments and suggestions for future posts.

I also blog for Fairy DogParents, a wonderful local organization that works to keep dogs out of the overcrowded shelter system by making financial aid grants to owners of limited means who are struggling to pay for the food, medical and general wellness needs of their dogs.
Great idea and execution!
Jan, I have a golden retriever. Annie has four years old and she is a very sweet dog. I found your website last night and I really appreciate your dedication for dogs. Thank you for the work you’re doing in the blog. As a dog’s owner, me and my wife Joanna want to give you all the emotional support you need to keep the blog alive.
Un grand merci et que Dieu te protège.
Jean from Brookline
What a wonderful site you have! I found you today via the Saturday Blog Hop, and was so excited to see another Massachusetts pet blogger! When you have a chance, please stop by my blog, Four Paw Savings!
